Fan Of The Week Spotlight, Student Leader and Volunteer Raji Afeez Ajibola

At the Nigerian University Games Association NUGA, we remain committed to recognising and celebrating students whose passion, leadership, and dedication continue to strengthen university sports across Nigeria.

For this spotlight, Raji Afeez Ajibola is recognised for his growing impact as a Sports Administrator, Educationalist, and Student Sports Leader within the university sports community. With a strong interest in Sports Management, Administration, and Governance, Ajibola has continued to build valuable experience through leadership, volunteering, and active participation in university sports. His favourite sport is soccer, and he was born on 28 December.

Beyond his involvement in sports administration, Ajibola previously served as the Student Union Director of Sports at Adekunle Ajasin University. He has also contributed to major sporting platforms, volunteering at the NUGA Games Jos 2025 and currently serving as an international volunteer at the 2026 FASU Games. Through these experiences, he has continued to develop his leadership skills while contributing to university sport at both national and continental levels.

For Ajibola, sports represents an opportunity to develop people, encourage participation, and create meaningful pathways for young athletes. He is particularly passionate about inclusive sports development, volunteer mentorship, youth leadership, and creating structured opportunities for athletes to thrive. His motto, "What is worth doing at all is worth doing well," reflects his commitment to service, excellence, and purposeful leadership.

His journey reflects the values of dedication, commitment, teamwork, and leadership that define students contributing to the university sports ecosystem. Through sports administration, volunteering, and student leadership, Ajibola continues to demonstrate how sports can create opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and stronger communities.

At NUGA, we celebrate students like Raji Afeez Ajibola, whose passion for sports, commitment to leadership, and dedication to service continue to contribute to the growth of university sports across Nigeria.

As we continue to spotlight outstanding students within the university sports ecosystem, we encourage more students to actively engage in sports, leadership, volunteering, and developmental opportunities across the NUGA community.
