Call for Abstracts: Changchun 2027 FISU World Conference
The International University Sports Federation (FISU) has opened abstract submissions for the Changchun 2027 FISU World Conference, scheduled to take place from 16 to 18 January 2027 in Changchun, China, alongside the Winter Universiade.
The conference will bring together researchers, educators and university sport experts from around the world to explore the role of university sport in advancing research, education, innovation and sustainability.
Under the theme, "University Sport in Action: Innovation, Education and Sustainability at the Heart of the Winter Universiade," the conference will focus on three subthemes: University Sport as a Living Laboratory, exploring holistic research on ice and snow sports science and multiculturalism; University Sport, Education and Dual Careers, examining the synergistic development of academic education and athletic sports; and Future Ecosystem, focusing on innovation-driven and sustainable development of university sport.
Researchers and interested participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. The registration fee for participants presenting papers is CNY 518 per person. This covers conference lunches, coffee breaks, a conference gift pack, urban cultural experience activities and a printed conference certificate. Travel and accommodation expenses are to be covered by participants themselves.
Acceptance notifications will be issued in multiple rounds. The first-round payment system opens at 20:00 on 30 September 2026 and closes at 20:00 on 15 October 2026. Accepted authors are required to pay the registration fee before the deadline to confirm their participation. Failure to complete payment within the stipulated period will result in forfeiture of participation.

Participants are advised to log in to the registration portal to check their paper acceptance status. Papers marked "Under Review" are not yet on the provisional acceptance list. Any changes to the status will be communicated by email and updated in the system.
