NUGA Mobilises University Community for AGIF's Pink Motion 2026
The Alex and Grace Izinyon Foundation (AGIF) is running its annual Pink
Motion campaign throughout October to raise funds for the Grace Cancer Fund,
with the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) serving as its university
partner. Through the partnership, NUGA is encouraging students, university
staff and campus sports communities across Nigeria to participate in the
campaign and contribute to its cancer support initiative.
Under the theme Every Kilometre. Every Swing., Pink Motion 2026
invites participants to make movement count by running, walking or cycling
throughout October. Participants can register through MyRaceTime, record their
distances and track their progress on individual and team leaderboards. The
campaign also features a golf arm, offering further opportunities for sporting
participation and fundraising.
The Grace Cancer Fund provides financial assistance to people affected by
cancer who face difficulties meeting treatment costs. The inaugural Pink Motion
campaign in 2025 raised ₦10.1 million, helping launch the Fund, which has since
supported six people with cancer treatment and related expenses. For its 2026
edition, the campaign aims to raise ₦15 million to extend support to more
people.
University students and staff participating through NUGA are encouraged to
register under the designated team name and campaign code to ensure their
participation is recorded and credited to the Association.
