University of Ibadan male 3x3 Basketball team won the silver medal on July 6, 2018 at the recently concluded 9th All Africa University Games held at Mekelle University Ethiopia. The team, against all odds, got the second position in Africa and will be one of the two teams representing Africa at the World University Championship of the same event holding at Xiamen, China from November 15 to 18, 2018. Bravo to the University of Ibadan Team as this is a big come back for Nigerian Universities into FASU Games which was last attended when Nigeria hosted the 3rd edition of the competition at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in May, 2004
