Student Athlete Gloria Akinyemi Wins Three Silver Medals at the 27th NUGA Games
At the 27th edition of the Nigerian University Games held at the University of Jos, Gloria Eniola Akinyemi of the University of Ibadan delivered a commendable performance in the swimming events, earning her recognition as NUGA Titan of the Week for the month of March.
A dedicated student athlete, Gloria competed with focus and consistency, securing three silver medals for her institution. Her performance in the pool reflected both discipline and competitive strength, positioning her as one of the notable swimmers at the Games.
Beyond NUGA, her athletic journey continued to gain momentum. At the FISU 2025 National Trials, she demonstrated remarkable versatility, winning a gold medal in the 200m backstroke, alongside two silver medals and one bronze medal.
