A basketball player and student of Human Kinetics in the Faculty of Education, Joy has steadily built a reputation for balancing academic excellence with competitive sport. One of the highlights of her sporting career came in 2023, when she captained the University of Ilorin Women's Basketball Team to a third place finish at the West African University Championship, hosted by Obafemi Awolowo University OAU.
