NUGA Invites Manuscript Submissions for Volume 1, Issue 2 of the NUGA Journal of Scientific Studies
The Nigerian University Games Association NUGA has officially opened submissions for Volume 1, Issue 2 of the NUGA Journal of Scientific Studies NJSS, inviting researchers, sports scientists, academics, and professionals to contribute original research that advances knowledge in sports science and allied disciplines.
Following the successful indexing and publication of the journal's inaugural issue, NUGA continues its commitment to promoting research, innovation, and evidence-based practice within university sports and related fields. The forthcoming September to October 2026 edition provides another opportunity for scholars to publish high quality research in one of Nigeria's leading indexed journals dedicated to sports science.
The journal welcomes original manuscripts covering sports science and other allied areas, with submissions undergoing a rigorous double blind peer review process to ensure academic quality and integrity. Published articles will contribute to the growing body of knowledge supporting sports development, education, policy, and research while reaching both national and international audiences.
Interested authors are encouraged to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journals submission guidelines. The deadline for manuscript submission is Monday, 15 September 2026, while the publication of the issue is scheduled for 30 October 2026.
The journal is edited by Professor Joshua E. Umeifekwem, MNAE, Editor in Chief, and forms part of NUGA's broader vision of strengthening research, scholarship, and knowledge exchange within the Nigerian university sports ecosystem.
Researchers interested in publishing in the journal are required to submit a soft copy of their full manuscript via email to joshua.umeifekwem@unn.edu.ng Submissions may also be sent via WhatsApp to 08065193743. All manuscripts will undergo a double blind peer review process, and editorial decisions will be communicated within one week of submission following payment of the required vetting fee. Authors of accepted manuscripts will subsequently receive a publication letter.
A review and vetting fee of ₦5,000 is payable to Jochi & Havspon Ltd, Zenith Bank, Account Number: 1011153891. Authors are required to forward proof of payment to 08065193743 after completing the transaction. The deadline for manuscript submission is Monday, 15 September 2026, while the issue is scheduled for publication on 30 October 2026.
